Every plant-growth visual on this website is an AI-generated simulation. This page explains what that means, how each visual is labelled, and the line we hold: the films teach the stages of growth — they are not, and are never presented as, documented experiments.

What the visuals are

• The time-lapses come from the Grow Through Time YouTube channel. Each film is generated clip by clip with AI video tools, then assembled with a day counter that follows the crop's growth arc.
• Still images on this site are frames or posters taken from those films.
• Generation is guided by the real biology of each crop — the sequence of stages, the underground structures, the shape of development — but the result is an idealised, compressed illustration, not a recording of a real plant.

How we label

• Every figure on this site carries a caption stating it is an AI-generated time-lapse still and a simulation.
• On YouTube and other platforms, the videos carry the platform's AI-generated content label where the platform provides one.
• Pages state plainly that a day range (for example "Day 1–90") is the span of the film.

What the visuals never claim

• They are not evidence that a real plant grew in exactly that time, at that speed, or with that result.
• They do not replace real-world growing data. Germination times, temperatures, spacings and care facts in our guides come from cited university extension and botanical sources, listed at the foot of every guide — not from the films.
• Real growth varies with variety, weather, soil and care. Where a film and a source disagree, the source governs the advice.

Why we work this way

A real cross-section of a germinating bean, filmed continuously for 25 days, is beyond a small channel's means — but the stages it would show are exactly what beginner gardeners fail to imagine. AI simulation lets us teach the hidden half of growth honestly, provided the labelling is unambiguous.
